Rules allow the triggering of actions if the data meets a specific condition (i.e. - "Error-count is > 10", "Humidity < 20"). Current actions include sending an email and/or sending a text. To do the initial setup to send notifications, this info will be needed:
- Email account settings - for example: Yahoo! SMTP settings
- A Twilio account for sending SMS (text messages) - Free Twilio trial
- Or cellular provider may have "email to text" capability - Carriers with email to text
- Then just use the email address to send notification i.e. - "4085551212@vtext.com"
Within JEDI One, click into Settings -> Notifications. This is where to enter the SMTP email server information, and for texts (SMS), Twilio account details:
